‘Yard Work? No Thanks!’ Residents of Richland Place Retire in Comfort, Leave Hard Work to Others

‘Yard work? No thanks!’ Residents of Richland Place retire in comfort, leave hard work to others

"My children are so relieved that I am safe, happy and cared for. We told our daughters, ’Coming here is our special gift to you.’ "

"It is a wonderful feeling not to have to worry about grass to cut, leaves to rake, roofs which leak, pipes which freeze, etc. One can become spoiled easily and quickly!"

"Garden parties, cruise day, theater and Tai Chi... this isn't a place where we sit around all day in rocking chairs!"

The words of Richland Place residents sum it up pretty well: They know what it means to relax and allow others to do things like housework, yard work and meal preparation.

Instead, they fill their leisure hours with activities such as pool aerobics, social outings, trips to the opera and symphony, bridge and planned parties - just to name a few!
