Reserving an Apartment

To place your name on the waiting list there is a one-time fee of $1,000. This is refundable at any time or it applies to your entry fee. Once on the waiting list, you will be called when an apartment of your choice becomes available.

Once you decide on an available apartment, you place 10% of the entry fee down to reserve the apartment. From that day, you have 120 days before you would need to move in and pay the remaining 90%.

Your monthly service fee is based on the size of the apartment and includes:

• all utilities except your phone and cable ($29.00 a month)
• one meal per day (lunch or dinner)
• weekly housekeeping, including linen service
• maintenance on the apartment
• transportation
• emergency call system
• all scheduled exercise classes and activities

Should you require more care after a specified period (six months) of residing in the Independent Living you may transfer to the Health Center. You would then pay your current monthly fee for 180 annual days with a lifetime of 360 days. After the 360 days have been exhausted you would pay 85% of the prevailing rate in the Health Center.

Once you have completely moved out of Richland Place either you or your estate would receive 90% of you original entry fee plus 40% of any appreciation, once the apartment had been reoccupied.
